| By tapping into your office or home water system by using bottleless water, you're helping to avoid harmful effects on the environment and unnecessary energy costs which place an alarming drain on limited fossil fuel resources.
Environmental impacts of bottled water:- Millions of empty bottles are disposed of and buried in landfills every year. With the passage of time, this can lead to soil contamination--affecting plants which cannot grow in contaminated soil and ground water if the toxic chemicals found in water bottles reach the ground water reservoir.
- The manufacturing and transportation of bottled water also play a direct role in hurting the environment. Plastic bottle factories emit pollutants that make the air we breathe more harmful to our bodies. Plus, the 17 million barrels of oil used to transport bottled water yearly contribute to global warming through the emission of carbon dioxide, which comprises most of the greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.
